• Hornworms should be enhanced with calcium by dusting or by including CalciWorms in your animal’s diet. Your animal’s diet should be further enriched by including waxworms for additional fat.
• Hornworm containers should be kept inverted with their food (media) at the top of the container, this prevents their waste from being combined with their food. Hornworm waste should be removed from their cups on a daily basis.

Keeping Hornworms (Manduca sexta) with different feeder insects can be tricky and is generally not recommended. You should use separate containers tailored to each insect species.
Hornworms (Manduca sexta) are best stored at room temperature and can become fully grown in 10-12 days. To accelerate growthy you can store in slightly warmer temperatures (upper 70’s), inversely to slow down growth you can store in a slightly cooler environment (60’s). Never refrigerate. The Hornworms food should be kept at the top of the cup so the waste can remain separated from the food. It is important to remove the lid and dispose of the waste daily. It’s also important to prop the edge of the cup up to ensure good airflow.
It is our recommendation to use all your Hornworms within 2 weeks of their pack date.
