We ship our Nightcrawlers using UPS Overnight service. Our Live Pet Foods ship to all of the continental United States of America including Alaska but we CAN NOT ship to Hawaii. During the winter months, we use specially designed thermal boxes to help keep your Nightcrawlers warm during transit. If outdoor temperatures are particularly low, we may also include a heat pack for added warmth. All live food is guaranteed to arrive alive, except for shipments to areas where temperatures fall below 10°F or rise above 100°F. Additionally, all live food purchases come with a 72-hour health guarantee.
Keeping Nightcrawlers with different feeder insects can be tricky and is generally not recommended. You should use separate containers tailored to each insect species.
Nightcrawlers are best stored in the refrigerator between 35°F–50°F. This mimics their natural cool habitat and slows their metabolism, keeping them alive longer. Avoid temperatures that are too cold or too hot as extreme temperatures can harm them. Regularly check the packaging to ensure the bedding remains moist, but not overly wet. If the bedding starts to dry out, add a few drops of water to maintain the right moisture level. Nightcrawlers don’t eat much when stored at cool temperatures, but they may need occasional feeding if kept for more than a week. Some food options are ground oatmeal, crushed eggshells, cornmeal, or small vegetable scraps. Feed sparingly to avoid rotting food, which can harm them.
It is our recommendation to use all your Nightcrawlers within 3-4 weeks of their pack date.
