Customer Reviews

          5 of 5 stars Customer service !!!

I ordered 1000 adult crickets from RodentPro. When I received my package half of them were dead. I immediately contacted them via email. They reached out the next morning and did not argue with me or say I was wrong, they apologized for the inconvenience and sent replacement crickets that arrived the next day all alive. Great customer service, awesome quality feeders and great prices!!!

Frequently Asked Questions 5 Questions Answered
Are Adult Standard Crickets a good food item for my pet?

Acheta domestica crickets, also known as House Crickets, or Brown Crickets are the preferred species of cricket for reptile food. Adult Standard Crickets are an excellent staple food item for all insectivores. Live crickets activate the hunting instinct for reptiles, keeping them active and interested in their food source.

When can I place an order for Adult Standard Crickets, and when can I expect them to ship?

You can order Adult Standard Crickets anytime at RodentPro.com. Live Food Orders placed by 3:00 PM CT will ship the same day, Monday through Thursday. Live Food Orders placed after 3:00 PM CT Thursday and all orders placed Friday, Saturday and Sunday will ship Monday.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email containing your tracking information.

How should I care for my Adult Standard Crickets?

To reduce stress and ensure proper care for your Adult Standard Crickets, it is essential to transfer them to a well-ventilated container with a secure lid, like a plastic tub or critter keeper. Use clean egg cartons for hiding spaces to reduce stress. The optimal temperature for Adult Standard Crickets is 70–75°F with low humidity. Provide moisture with vegetables like shredded carrots or cut potatoes, as using water bowls can result in drowning. Feed them commercially available cricket food. Regularly clean the container by removing waste, uneaten food, and dead crickets to ensure a hygienic environment.

Can I store Adult Standard Crickets with different feeder insects?

Keeping Adult Standard Crickets with different feeder insects can be tricky and is generally not recommended. You should use separate containers tailored to each insect species.

My Adult Standard Crickets seem dead and motionless, what should I do?

When shipping during cold weather Adult Standard Crickets may arrive cold.  In the event your crickets arrive and are dry but motionless they are very likely in a statue of “diapause”.   Diapause is a condition that crickets can easily recover from. Cold temperatures prevent crickets from maintaining the correct water to potassium balance that allows them to use their muscles. In almost all circumstances crickets that have been too cold for several hours will recover once they are brought back up to room temperature. To speed their recovery, you should empty the contents into a separate bin and remove the potato and egg crates to provide as much room temperature airflow to the crickets as possible. DO NOT warm them with any additional heat source except room temperature air. It may take a few hours for them to recover.
